how to remove burned on gunk in your pots and pans
You might laugh at this but trust me it works like a charm.
You still need to use some elbow grease but this trick will loosen up that burned on stuff in the bottom of your pots like you won't even believe. I got the idea to try this after reading about listerine to clean toilet bowls, so I thought what the heck, it can't hurt even if it doesn't help so I gave it a shot and I am pleased with the results I got got from this effort.
I wish I had taken pictures, but alas the grandbaby had the phone and I didn't get any before and afters of it but here is what I did..
I sprinkled the bottom of my crusty burned pan with comet cleanser, and then added enough listerine mouthwash to the pan to cover the bottom where the burned on mess was, and then I let it sit for a couple of hours and bada-bang bada-bing when I went back in to clean the pan the burned on yuckiness was softened and much easier to remove with a brillo pad than it had been on its previous wash attempt.
Try it... Leave your review of this method in comments. I'd love to hear what you think...
