About Us

My name is Melissa, I am a mother, a grandmother, a wife, and a daughter. My family is pretty close with my 4 children, 2 grandchildren, and two of my children's friends living at my house, and my neighbors are my parents, and 2 sets of aunts and uncles, and a cousin. Grandpa was the son of a farmer and inherited a great deal of land, and gave each of his 6 children 2 acres to build their home on, so that is why you will hear me talk about life on the plantation.

Most of my posts are about my immediate family, and the add on family members my children bring home. But sometimes you will read something about the rest of the crew who don't live with me. I like to talk about the family, share recipes, and pictures, home remedies, homeschooling tips, and ideas, opinions, product reviews, craft ideas, and talk a little about my vinyl decal and shirt business and whatever else might come to mind to tell you all about.

I hope to post things you will enjoy, and look forward to reading comments from you.

I am "that wife" married to the workaholic who carries the weight of the world on his shoulders. The weight of the world often makes him grouchy and unbearable, But you have to understand he is carrying the burden of supporting a family of 8 singly on his shoulders and so, how could he not be a grouch?

I have prayed to God, to just make me good at something. Help me find a path that will allow me to be home with our family, and still be able to bring in a little extra income to help our family and my husband superman.

I haven't ever succeeded at anything except messing things up. But I do try, and I still have faith that my niche is out there and I will find it. I feel pretty confident in my vinyl decal making, I am good at it.. But am I good enough? I think I am, but the snail paced trickle of orders I'm getting isn't as encouraging as you might hope them to be.

I am an idea person, I give myself props on having brilliant ideas, But I am not a sales person. I am not a get in your head and make you believe that you need what I've conceived kind of person. I'm more of a low profile behind the scenes kinda gal, riddled with insecurities, but still hooping a dream will come true.

My dream is to make my husband proud, to make my family proud, to be more than the cook, and cleaner, I want to be able to say you didn't do it alone today honey. But to still be here and be able to say, come cry on my shoulder little one, come show me the art you made, the bug you caught, the song you learned cuz I have all the time in the world just for you.

I don't know if I will ever be all of that, but I pray about it everyday, and I want it with all the desire my heart has in it, and If it isn't stretching the dream too far I want to be successful enough to share my tips and tricks and ways to succeed with other moms who are staying home ensuring their families stability, not depending on others to raise their child. I want to help those women who think family comes first.

I am so hoping my etsy shop can make all of these dreams come true.. But the first step is to appeal to you, those who have read my mission statement thus far and are still engaged. If you have an interest in what I do, check out my etsy shop please, and feel more than free to purchase...
