WeeWoo and Clarissa's art book

Clarissa the three year old granddaughter has a lot of the same interests as I do. One thing we share is a love for art, and crafting, and so we started an art journal that we work on together, It's a joint effort, she helps with gluing, sometimes, drawing or painting, picking out the pictures, and recently she has started practicing with safety scissors and cuts a little. When Paisley is a little older (she is only 6 months now) If she has an interest in art and getting crafty with WeeWoo we will make one together too. If she isn't interested in arts and crafts then I guess we will find her thing and we will do that.

art is never wrong, you can't grade art, creating memories with toddler

It all started with clarissa writing in my journal. So, I ripped out the few pages that I had written on and we went to town. Some pages she draws on and I take her drawing and color it and add a line here and dot there and turn it into something, Some pages are things she asked me to make like Peppa Pig and George Pig, or just whatever we want to do. It's not fancy, or perfect, but it's perfect to us.

It's teaching her things, It's helping her motor skills, and working that active imagination of hers, It's quality time together, it's fun, sometimes its messy, and when I'm gone she will have something to remember me by. So if you ask me it is a wonderful thing.

fun playful art journal,

I thought I'd share some of our pages with you today instead of a recipe because I seem to be on a mostly recipes kick lately and thought it might be fun to mix it up a little...

cherished heirlooms, making memories, taking the time,

Plus I am proud of our little art journal. It's priceless and one of a kind.

I hope that 30 years from now she is showing this book to her child so that some of me will be there with them, and I hope some of the messages and memories are cherished and passed down long after I'm gone.
