I have used photoshop for years, and recently fell in love with lightroom too. So when an ad popped up on facebook for a free 30 day trial of adobe illustrator I was excited to try it out too.

So, I have spent a good part of my day trying out some adobe illustrator tutorials I found at EvatoTuts and I thought it would be fun to show you what I made today in Adobe illustrator..

Now bear in mind I am not a complete rookie. I knew a few things because photoshop, and lightroom have some of the same options and I was familiar with them, but adobe illustrator is its own program and this was my first ever attempt and using it. So my results could have been worse.. But they could also be so much better with practice.

My favorite thing about adobe illustrator is that you can use the paintbrush tool and draw an image and it automatically smooths up your lines. That in itself is awesomeness at the highest level.

I can see me using this in my etsy and zazzle shops sometime soon, after a little more practice. So.. ya wanna see it? Here it is..
