decoupaged meat


Ok, so after the little boy fell off the bleachers at the football game, my family and I were headed home , and I told them I was going to cook a nice pot roast when we got home. I don't know what I was thinking because we all know how long pot roast takes to cook, and it was already after 9pm on a school night.. It's always tuff managing supper on school nights. But I had a whole meal planned out that I would cook when we got home.. peas, mashed potatoes, pot roast, and sliced tomatoes..

So we get hiome and I put my meat in the bowl of stuff I called glaze.. Ok.. thats normal-ish, Ive heard of people glazing ham before.. Then.. This is where it gets weird.. Then I take it out, pat it dry, and begin gluing little strips of paper all over my pot roast..





My family thinks Ive lost my mind and I assure them that it will be a lovely dinner, and I think I was right because the rainbow array of colors getting glued to this meat was beautiful..

and then I woke up and I realized  I must have a bad case of decoupage addiction becasue I do think about how pretty everything would be decoupages.. I honestly dont remeber thinking about decoupaging meat tho.. LOL.. oh well.. I have things to glue.. TTYL..

spicy hot corned beef sammies

1 (12 0z.) can corned beef
11/2 tsp. prepared horseradish
11/2 tsp. prepared mustard
1 tbsp. salad dressing- i use miracle whip
1/2 c. finely chopped dill pickles-or relish
8 hamburger buns

Mix together flaked corn beef & seasonings. Cut buns in half, & scoop centers of buns within 1/2 inch from sides & save for crumbs. fill cavity with mixture & press crumbs on top.bake in 400 degree oven for 15 min. makes 10 open faced sandwiches
