So I goofed, I bought two packs of hot dogs and then 2 packs of hamburger buns to go with it. I considered slicing the hot dogs and frying them like Hardee's does the link sausage biscuits. But I wasn't 100 percent certain my crew would eat that. It was back to the store we go to get ground beef, to make these sloppy joe burgers.
This recipe has my two favorite qualities in a recipe, It's easy and it is packed with flavor. Tastes just like a cheeseburger but without the mess of patting out each patty, and they cooking each individual patty. It is America's favorite food simplified. If you are a fan of lettuce on your burger add some when you plate it.
I didn't do that but it is an idea.
Basically this is scrambled cheeseburger on a bun, and it is AWESOME
sloppy cheeseburgers with Velveeta and Rotel
2 lb ground beef
1 can rotel tomatoes
2 cups Velveeta cheese cut into cubes
3 tbsp yellow mustard
1/3 cup ketchup
1 tbsp horseradish sauce
1/4 cup sweet baby rays BBQ sauce
1/2 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp onion powder
1 1/2 tbsp dill weed
1/4 cup chicken broth or water
brown ground beef and drain grease
return ground beef to pan add all other ingredients stirring frequently until cheese is completely melted serve on hamburger buns
Easy peasy...
This recipe is very adaptable, you could add whatever ingredients you enjoy in your favorite burger recipe scramble the ground beef and drain it and then top it off with the rotel and Velveeta to get the flavor you want in your sloppy joe cheeseburger.
