my first attempt at a portrait of an actual person.

I have recently joined a site called pixels.com its also in colaberation with fine arts america, and it is a art selling site as well as a social network to fellow artist. I have really been enjoying the community stuff, groups, and contests. The contests have inspired me to try things I have never tried before. Like today, I spent the morning "trying" to do a portrait. My first portrait. Naturally I chose my grand daughter. The prettiest little angel I know. Here are my results..



the original phot I used and my end result. Would love to hear your constructive critism on my first ever portrait. I think its not perfect, but half way decent for a first try and I definately want to try again. and BTW if you are an artist you should check out pixels.com I have practically abandoned facebook for this site..
