banned on facebook for this... opinion please...


A friend of mine posted this picture on facebook without the boxes blocking the privates of her daughter and a friend. They banned her for 24 hours... So I put black boxes over the offensive parts and reposted on my wall, and I also got banned for 24 hours even though the private areas were blacked out.. Do you think this is ban worth or not? Im having trouble understanding why

can make it onto our local store shelves and be considered fine... But a couple babies swimming in a pool with the privates black out cannot make it onto a persons private facebook wall.. Id love to hear what you think..

    When I saw this, I felt for u b/c I have been banned for posting art on my page & it's a crappy feeling. As for the pic of the kids, I am surprised they blocked u after u put the squares. Then I remembered this time when My husband & I took our 3 year old canoeing & afterwards, she wanted to swim & didn't have a suit. So we let her skinny dip. It is a public area but we thought, "she is 3! Who's gonna object?" We'll, security came by & told us no & I expressed my opinion & he understood but he said, "anyone could take a picture of her & photoshop it & put it online in a completely different context." I was mortified by that idea & it was one of those moments when I realized that my trust in the world is not always correct & there are things I have to remembered a Mother that I normally wouldn't. Maybe you can't see a similarity between the 2 but I thought I would share. Facebook is ridiculous in what they keep and what they ban but in this case, maybe it is with the right intentions? Just my 2 cents.

    i dotn agree with this pic being ban-worthy.. but i do agree there are worse things that could happen than someone trying to protect a child.. Can't hardly be mad about someone wanting to protect a child..
