what?? Bacon flavored soap.. ohh yeah,,,
here is some of the things ZIve tried and some of the results on myself...
tea tree... everything should have atleast some amount of tea tree in it.. That stuff is like bottled magic.. Ill tell you my story of the wart that went away sometime.. But not now..
kudzu power and tea tree oil in clear glycerin soap scented with macintosh apple scent. loooove it.. My skin is baby soft.. and the smell is almost good enough to eat.. it is a keeper..
tea tree and cocoa - didnt like so much it didnt make me feel clean, and I broke out. I cant say for sure if it was the soap or Eve and the curse that did it to me so I will give it another try sometime when Im not dealing with the dot at the end of my sentence..
tea tree with a dot of udder butter - i have no complaints nor remarkably amazing stories about it..
and just plain soap with "wake up rosemary" scent from "brambleberry" and it is amazingly great smelling and I love it.. Its not just rosemary its minty an rosemary and just wonderful..
so to sum it up kudzu and tea tree, and wakeup rosemary are the best by far... so far
I found some bacon scent for soap on natures garden that I ordered today and I am excited for it to get here cuz I know seeral bacon lovers who will looove this stuff even if for a novelty gift Im sure it will be Hott Hott Hott...

I cant find art class ashtrays
I have always had a soft spot for the misfits, the ugly ducklings, and so forth and so on.. My mom loves to tell this story about how we went to the pound to adopt a dog and I picked out the ugliest most scraggly looking dog there, and she says when she asked me why I picked the ugly one I told her " cuz no one else would love him cuz he was so ugly". I still have that same love for ugly I guess.. Because when we went to adopt our cat a while back I didn't pick the ones upfront looking cute and trying to get attention. I picked the one hiding inside the cat box with her back turned to me. She has turned out to be a wonderful cat. It took her a while to get used to us, but now that she has she is perfect.
Even what I collect is a little "ulier" than most people would enjoy. But I collect pottery made by kids. You know that ashtray they made in 2nd grade that you smiled and said you loved, then stuck in the attic and forgot about.. I love that stuff.. I see a art class vase, or a ashtray that was supposed to be a soup bowl.. I snag it up. Cuz the thing about this kid of art is it is real. It wasn't made to sell, it wasn't mass produced. Some child somewhere sat down with the sole intention of making a great gift for mom or dad and did just that.. Its the kind of art that comes from an unselfish, untainted place, made with love, and presented with pride...
Of course this isnt the kind of thing you find everyday, and in my searching I havent found one single child made pottery peice at all.. But I wish I could cuz Id buy it all.. and Id display it on my shelf with pride..
Thank goodness beauty is in the eye of the beholder..
have you found pottery by children on etsy? If so Id love a link.. Cuz I absolutely looove the stuff..

wind chimes
So these are on our agenda, windchimes and a bird feeder. If you have any suggestions, ideas, tips, or tricks to offer please post them. Its great to let kids have a free spirit and try things and enjoy creating without limits. But as a parent its also good to go into a project with some kind of rough sketch in your mind of what you are trying to accomplish and what obstacles you might meet on the journey. Havea great sunday all. See ya back here later.
The head as promised

So I promised pictures of our foam head planter a few days ago and slow as I am I did finally get it done. She doesn't look like much yet, but when the vines take off and flow to the ground like hair she will look awesome. She is standing in a patch where we have planted wild flowers that should cover the stake she is on. The pniwheels are just something we added so she wouldn't look so bare until our plants start to grow. The kids painted her. I think she is beautiful and will be an awesome addition to our wild flower garden. I wanted a garden area that was completely kid friendly they can walk in it pick flowers in it. They helped decorate it so there is nothing in it that they cannot touch.
I hope you like what you see as much as we do.
I will update with pictures when things start to grow and the vision in my mind becomes reality. But I was so excited about the idea that I tought I'd go ahead and share these first stages. Let me know what you think.

Crayon Hearts
I found these on Martha Stewart Living web site and I think they are so pretty. It is shown as a valentines craft but I think it would be pretty anytime. You could even tweak the shape to be for halloween, or christmas, or.. the 4th of july. Kids will be coming home tomorrow with all of this years broken crayons and now I know what I will be doing with them. My only concern is them melting in a southern summer window. I think I would probably recommend hanging them in a window that doesn't get direct sunlight. Ill post my results in the next few days. Until then click the lin or the picture to go to the instructions.
