We got ours when then were still fairly new, we don't have an Alexa voice command remote but I do think that is a cool feature and I would love to try it.
We got ours when the price was twice what it is now, and it was in its infancy. I had looked at the Roku boxes at walmart and salivated over them, but never broke down and bought one because I wasn't real sure how it worked, if it worked, if it was something we would even use. Then I saw the Fire TV stick on amazon, and read everything I could find on it, and was certain this was the greatest invention on the planet. So I bought us one for our family room.
I was certain this was going to revolutionize our TV viewing experience, and it has. It is like Internet for you TV. We can watch the latest episodes of our favorite shows, we can browse amazon prime shows, and rent amazon movies, we can visit our favorite TV network and watch the latest episodes of whatever, we can use Pandora on it, hulu and netflix, we can play games like crossy road, and other apps that are similar or sometimes the same as phone apps.
Amazon Fire TV stick is wonderful, and we love it and I want to get one for every TV in the house. The only thing standing between us and cutting the relationship with our cable company is that my hubby cannot watch his nascar races on it. If there were an option, even a subscription option for him to be able to watch those nascar races on fire TV stick then we would SOOOO be hopping off that cable TV train quick and fast.
Fire TV stick doesn't come with a monthly bill unless you subscribe to extra content, like HBO or other paid channels, or some games, If its an app available in the amazon app store them most likely its available for your Fire TV stick too.
We have experience some lag, but I don't blame that on the Fire TV stick, but more on the fact that we have 11 people here all trying to use wifi at the same time sometimes and our Internet provider just can't always handle that.
So to sum it all up, Fire TV stick is awesome. It is well worth the minor investment and if you don't have nascar fans who "NEED" to see the race, you could very well cut your ties with the cable company and save tons on that every month. Even if you do have reasons to stick with your cable company imagine being able to do everything you can do on your phone from your television... Oh yeah!!! The fire TV stick can do that..
I give Fire TV Stick a rating of
5 stars
