My dummy and the kitchen table

It started with a head .. Two heads I guess. one was mine, the other was a dummy. I can't see it was the beginning of my art career, but it was a significant event. I decided many moons ago that I had waht it took to be an artist, when i stumbled onto the works of Mose Tolliver.. If you have never seen Mose Tolliver's work, then please check it out. You might find yourself shocked at the value of such child like art. But there has to be something deeper too it because its what convinced me that I was an artist.. I figured if Mose Tolliver can be someone in the art world then I see no reason that I cant be also..

My paintings have sold in a small white water tour town in a north georgia pizza parlor for years.. Then he started wanting me to paint specific things that he wanted.. "will you paint this church" "will you paint this tree" and so I cut him off quick like. Art isn't about making money for me. I won't do what anyone else wantrs when it comes to my art. Its the one thing in my life that is about me, and what I like and waht I want to do, and Its something I enjoy.. I wont let anyone turn my greatest self pleasure into a job..

This is what I do, and you can like it, or you can leave it where you found it. When people tell me what to paint then they have a visual idea of what it should look like and if it falls short, that opens it up to critisism that i dont invite into my painting and drawing. Its self expression.. You can say waht you want to about my self expression, but you are wrong.. Unless you like it.. Cuzs you can't tell me how to express myself..

anyway.. here is some of my latest projects and I welcome feedback..
