So I tried and I came up with only 4 useful results for bread ties.. I can't believe the handy, crafty, imaginative people on Etsy have not played with bread ties any more than that.. Its a plentiful resource, its earth friendly to reuse these puppies.. So why no crafts using bread ties??

So I challenge all you crafters out there to come up with some sort of craft using bread ties..

Show me what you got...

Im in love again

woke up 2am with yet another back ache. I swear eventually Im going to have to just break down and have the surgery to fix it. For now tho as painful as the going is I am still able to go. So I plug through, sleeping little, daydreaming much, and window shopping on Etsy... If I ever win a lottery there are going to be some preeetttty wealthy Etsians..

Look what I fell in love with today..

coach purse on ebay and bacon scented soap

Just listed this lovely coach purse on Ebay...  It can be yours for 50.00 or you can bid and possibly get it even cheaper than that.. I have a couple other things listed over there too. I am new to selling on ebay and have only just listed my first 4 items. No sales yet.. But hopefully I wont end up paying fees and selling nothing. That would reek. Have any of you guys sold on ebay? Have you had much success? Would love to hear your stories.

I also made bacon scented soap today at my daughters request. She is a bacon nut...I don't think I want to hop out of the shower smelling like bacon.. Thats just me tho. Apparently all my kids think bacon scented soap is cool.. What do you think?

I bought this book for me and several friends of mine who love to read at chritmas time, and we all enjoyed it. It is a short read so you wont be glued to a computer screen for days or weeks with it and I think it is well worth the read.. If you love Pooh if you love philosophy this is worth a closer look.

homemade deodorant recipe

Since my mom had breast cancer Ive been very aware of what deodorants I use and usually i just dost with a little baking soda and call it done and hope for the best.. It works, but I like stuff with a scent so I se out to find a natural recipe for deodorant and here is what I have used for a week now that I look...

This recipe is for a small portion but you can adjust the ingredients to suit you. It isnt an exact science and infact I dont actually measure any of the ingredients so these measurements are guesstimates

1 tbsp baking soda
2 tbsp kudzu root powder (can substitute for corn starch or some other absorbent starch powder)
4 tbsp lip balm base from brambleberry (you could mix the oils yourself  Lip Base ingredients and INCI: Coconut Oil (Cocos Nucifera oil), Cera Alba (Beeswax), Sweet Almond oil (Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis), Avocado oil (Persea Gratissima). I find it simpler to just use this balm base.. Does the same trick )
1/2 tsp shea butter (optional)
(If you prefer to mix your own I will put the ingredients of the lip balm base at the end of this recipe)
2 drops tea tree oil
4-6 drops of your favorite scent essential oil (optional)( I like apple, or wake up raspberry from Brambleberry)
put your your lip balm base and shea butter in a microwaveable measuring cup melt at 10 second intervals until all is melted
when oils are melted stir lightly to mix in shea butter, then add your baking powder and kudzu root powder tea tree oil and scent oil mix well and pour into a container with a lid or when cooled slightly pack into an empty deodorant tube.. when its cooled it will harden and you will be able to use as a deodorant stick.. You can keep in fridge if your deodorant isnt as firm as you'd like, or add more lip balm base..

works wonderfully and lasts all day...

Enjoy
